Microsoft released Windows 10 on July 29, 2015, following the previous version, Windows 8.1. After a decade of service, Microsoft is set to discontinue official support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. This means users will no longer receive security updates or patches through Windows Update. While the operating system may still be usable after this date, continued access to official security updates will only be available through the paid Extended Security Updates (ESU) program, which will extend coverage until October 2028.
